As artists we navigate the ever fluctuating income that seems married to being a freelance creative. One tool that can not only make our art more affordable for collectors but also offer us a recurring income is called Patreon.
Have you heard of it? In today’s tips and tricks I describe how different artists are benefitting from this amazing platform.
I do wish to note, this platform will be more useful for artists who have already established a community that supports their art. It can then be a natural extension of support. If you don’t have an active Facebook page, Facebook group, email list, etc. this is something to incorporate into your systems after you have established connections with your collectors.
Be Creatively Courageous: What do you think? What worries you about the platform? Anything else you wish to know? Let’s talk about it in the comments below.
Sounds interesting
$48 a month is not nearly enough for me. I would need a minimum or $1000.
Hi Marjorie, efforts grow and get cultivated over time. I don’t know of any income stream that immediately garners 1000k a month. I hope you find a way that suits you and your needs as a creative.
I’m using Patreon, but I haven’t been sharing it enough. My monthly goal for full freedom would be something like $8500, but then I live in Norway so everything’s more expensive 🙂
Norway is an expensive place to live for sure. And knowing that number is an amazing thing. Something we should all consider too is Patreon can be one of many sources of income as a creative. And of course, we can still continue to grow and aim for that total number! Thank you for sharing Linda 🙂
