I have a big, red, wide-bottom carry tote that holds a plastic shower organizer with all my important tools. It has two outer pockets as well for my cutter and other long tools. It’s usually not enough and I add all kinds of other things to carry, but it does make it easier to grab and go. It’s always full and ready for action.
JT that sounds amazing 🙂 Good for you. Clever, easy to access, and as you say, “grab and go” ready! Thank you for sharing, I hope it inspires others to create their own “grab and go” art bag.
Hi Carrie,
Thank you so much for this video. We used to live in a large farmhouse that I had projects and materials all over the place. But I didn’t really do anything. We moved to NZ for 6 months in 2013 and rented our farmhouse to friends. We had to pack up and let go of a lot of stuff. When we came home to Australia we moved into a farm shed and a couple of caravans. The shed is completely open on one side. So we live very indoor/outdoor, I love watching our client’s horses so close. I can’t have ‘stuff’ all over the place because of dust and rain. My Grandfather always said, ‘everyone should move house every 12 months, even if it is only into the backyard. What you don’t want to shift next year, don’t move it back into the house. Move it on’. Lately I have felt the need to sew/create/mixed media etc. I was starting to think, ‘but I don’t have anywhere to work’. I think I will do plastic tubs for a couple of my interests. Again, thank you Shirlzy @ HorseGirl Farm
Hi Shirley! What a story you have. I LOVE your grandfather’s advice. Too many people get bogged down by their “stuff” and I wish for all of us to feel light, happy, and with space and time for our art. Plastic tubs could be a great way to store and bring out those bits as you wish to work on them. I hope you will share your art as you create it with the community! 🙂
Hi Carrie,
thank you for ‘loving’ my story. I REALLY need to write; I CAN write, I CAN art, I CAN speak. I’ve already picked out my word for 2017. I like to practice it through December, lol. BELIEVE and Bliss as a sub word. I BELIEVE.
Warm Regards Shirlzy
Great word! 🙂 You are most welcome. (And yes you can).
